Anonymous said: It terrifies me how Emma Watson gave a speech on feminism that was so carefully geared not to offend the sensibilities of men, and they still threatened her with violence and exposure in a horrifying way. These men don't hate feminism, they hate women plain and simple

I think it’s a defining moment in the radicalization of young women when they realize men, as a class, absolutely and violently hate them.

Wow..wow…wow

This is 100% unacceptable. Men “as a class” do not hate women. Some terrible, broken, misguided men hate women. I am friends with, and related to, many men who respect and show consideration toward women constantly, and treat women as absolute equals. It’s incredibly dangerous and juvenile and encouraging of hatred and violence to paint all men with the same brush. In the real, adult world, we recognize that the evil actions of some do not define an entire gender. If you disagree with me, please feel free to unfollow me. I have absolutely zero tolerance for willful, systematic ignorance that stereotypes men the exact way women scream about not wanting to be stereotyped. Real, mature feminism is about equality, not putting either gender down. Full stop.

Preach, Amy. My father is a feminist. My husband is a feminist. My brother is a feminist. Don’t believe me? Have a conversation with any one of them. Oh, wait, it’s much easier to make sweeping generalizations about half the human race…isn’t it?

Isn’t that why OP said men “as a class,” rather than “men”? Like, that is literally what “as a class” means. It means “as a wider group and not necessarily every single individual.”

Women scream. Women whine. Women cry.

These arguments always, always lose me when they get to the verbs. Everything is so reasonable, so humane, so fair and then you get to the characterization of women’s complaints and that carefully veiled contempt breaks loose. Every single goddamn time.

There you go. Sweeping generalization.

Inseparable Dog Besties Who Were Rescued Together Are The True Meaning Of Friendship

When Annie Hart got out of her car in East Los Angeles earlier this month, she was expecting to find two white-furred, abandoned dogs who had been wandering around the streets together for weeks. What she didn’t expect, however, was to find a canine couple whose friendship would astound and inspire her.

For an exclusive interview with rescuer Annie Hart and how to help and adopt these two pups go here.

Octopus eggs Photo credit: Simon Chandra

FUN FACT: These eggs are evil. Octopus babies are evil. Let me tell you why. The octopus mother lays her eggs in a cave roof and spends 6 months guarding them from potential predators and swaying the eggs with her tentacle so they get oxygen. This means she doesn’t eat or sleep until they hatch. When the octopus babies hatch, she dies from fatigue and starvation. THEN THEY FUCKING EAT HER. THEY EAT THEIR MOTHER WHO DIED BECAUSE SHE WAS LOOKING AFTER THEM. THEY. EAT. HER.

This sounds like what my mother said i did to her

NGL at first I thought this was a fancy art installations made with condoms.

Magical Paths Begging To Be Walked

Roads and paths pervade our literature, poetry, artwork, linguistic expressions and music. Even photographers can’t keep their eyes (and lenses) off of a beautiful road or path, which is why we collected this list of 28 amazing photos of paths.

Paths like these have a powerful grip on the human imagination – they can bring adventure, promise and change or solitude, peace and calm. There’s nothing like a walk down a beautiful path to clear your head – or to fill it with ideas!

I’ll leave you with an excellent quote from J. R. R. Tolkien’s works while you enjoy these images; “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.

  3. Spring In Hallerbos Forest, Belgium

  6. Bamboo Path In Kyoto, Japan
  7. Hitachi Seaside Park Path In Japan
